Got out the old TR-3 and waxed the 2 door today. It was a little hot out there working on the car, but nice none the less. If you’ve seen the 2 door, you know that it is in desperate need of a new paint job, and of course waxing it isn’t going to cover up all the surface rust. But it did make a big difference, as you can see in the pictures below. The pictures on the left are from when I first washed it, right after getting it. The pictures on the right are from today, after waxing. Close up you can still see the faded paint and the pock marks from the surface rust, but at least driving down the road it looks pretty good. Well, except for the dents on the passenger side.
